Steve Harvey does it again in Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man. We highly recommend this book. Thankfully, Steve, one of the few men who really tells us what men think, and how they operate, and interprets actions for us women, really has a heart for making sure women aren’t used, led-on, or manipulated for sexual purposes. Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn
by Shelley Lubben
Our friend, Shelley Lubben, former porn actress turned anti-porn activist, has done the most damage to the porn industry of any one person! She tells her story of making films in the industry, prostitution, and her road to redemption and tells about her knight in shining armor. If you want to know more about the person who has done the most to bring an illegal industry down, this is a must read![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]
Pornified
by Pamela Paul
Pornified, by journalist, Pamela Paul, wrote this book basically as an investigation in how much of a hold porn has on the current culture. When talking personally to Pamela, Tiffany (our Founder), asked Pamela if she would ever write another book on porn, and Pamela’s response was “No – it was one of the darkest topics to ever write about. I couldn’t handle doing another book on it.” That is the affect of porn even on a journalist, who reports the facts. This book is very difficult to get through, but one of the best on truly representing the state of emergency we have due to porn.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”732″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_border” img_link_large=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row background_color=”#ecf0f1″ border_color=”#dbdbdb” side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”733″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]
Marriable
by Hayley and Michael DiMarco
Marriable, by Hayley and Michael DiMarco, is a great book on what to look for in a potential spouse. They provide from both a female and male perspective, as a married couple contributing to the commentary in the book, of what women should look for and red flags to look for in men to assess if they are truly dating worth, or marriage material. A must read for women, also providing inside information on the behaviors of men, and what to look for, for women wanting to get married.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]
He’s Just Not That Into You
by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo
He’s Just Not That Into You, is probably our #1 recommended book for all women who are in search of the One. If you want to know or interrupt a man’s behavior and are puzzled around your relationship or situation – this is the book to decode the male gender – it will save women so much time and heartbreak if you read this, and refer to it in your dating life – written by a man (former screenwriter for Sex in the City), who wanted women to know what men really think – even though they may not tell you, by their actions. A must read ladies![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”734″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row background_color=”#ecf0f1″ border_color=”#dbdbdb” side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”735″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Final Report of the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography
One of the most damning reports ever written on pornography- finalized in July of 1986, with over 1,900 pages in length, then Attorney General, Ed Meese, was tasked by President Reagan with forming the AG’s Commission on Pornography – and the damage that it was doing to society, individuals, families, and the culture at large. At the time, the President was very concerned about the impact that pornography was having on the American culture even back then – little did they know after the lack of enforcement against pornography over multiple administrations, how bad pornography would truly get. This Commission occurred back in a time when the Attorney General actually did his job with the enforcement of American federal obscenity laws. Nine experts were invited on the Commission, across multiple fields to be involved in looking at, researching, and assessing porn’s impact on the culture psychologically, medically, psychiatrically, spiritually and emotionally. For anyone who wants to dig in deeper into the history of fighting porn and the impacts that the government discovered over 20 years ago, this is a must read. This report is also referred to as the “Meese Report,” a term that you may have heard at one time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]
Good Pictures Bad Pictures
Good Pictures Bad Pictures is a comfortable, read-aloud story about a mom and dad who teach their child what pornography is, why it’s dangerous, and how to reject it. Using easy-to-understand science and simple analogies, this ground-breaking book engages young kids to porn-proof their own brains. Parents ask us a lot what resources are available to talk to my kids about porn? This is 1 main resource we suggest.
The 5-point CAN DO Plan teaches kids how to avoid the brain-warping images of pornography and minimize the troubling memories of accidental exposure that often tempt kids to look for more and lead them into a dark and destructive addiction. To stay safe in the digital age, kids must install an internal filter in their own brain. Good Pictures Bad Pictures shows them how.
Parents will appreciate this resource to porn-proof their kids because it makes a difficult discussion easy and empowering. How? By teaching kids simple concepts about the brain and the process of addiction, and by giving them a specific strategy for keeping safe from the poison of pornography. This book retails for around $14.99, or $8.99 for the Kindle version on Amazon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”749″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row background_color=”#242424″ border_color=”#424242″ side_padding=”5″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″ el_class=”booktitle”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The Apology
Our friend at Music for the Soul & She’s Somebody’s Daughter, and Dove Award winning songwriter, Steve Siler, has released a truly powerful piece of music, sung by Michael Cusick, author and former sex addict who now speaks against porn, with the mission to create an opportunity for an apology to women. The song is offered as a response to the sexism and wounding women have experienced at the hands of men.
In 1994 Michael Cusick began a journey of recovery from sex addiction. In the process he became heartbroken at the realization that “we live in a world where women are treated as if their only real value is to gratify men’s sexual desire.” In 2013 Michael wrote A Plea to Women for Forgiveness. Michael and Steve collaborated on this effort, and The Apology was produced for women.
“With The Apology we hope to create opportunities for apology, dialogue, healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. For women who have been personally wounded I pray this song will be a blessing wherever they are on the healing journey. For men, I hope it will make them aware of the ways – perhaps even unintentionally – they’ve participated in a culture that objectifies women.” ~ Steve Silver
The Apology can be listened to for free, and a donation opportunity is available at the Music for the Soul website, to help them get the song distributed to many more women.
